The landing marks a successful ending of its mission aboard the International Space Station to help the pilots stranded.

Four astronauts have returned to the Earth after hurrying to the International Space Station (ISS) five months ago to relieve the Boeing Starliner Varying Pilots.

“Welcome home,” Radiod de Control of the Spacex mission.

Starliner Malfunctions kept Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams at the space station for more than nine months instead of a week.

NASA ordered the new Boeing crew capsule to return empty and changed the torque to Spacex. They left shortly after McClain and his crew arrived to take their places. Wilmore has retired since NASA.

Before leaving the space station on Friday, McClain took note of “some tumultuous times on Earth”, with people fighting.

“We want this mission, our mission, to be a reminder or what people can do when we work together, when we explore together,” he said.

McClain expected to “do nothing for a couple of days” once at home in Houston. On top of the desire list of his teammates: hot showers and juicy hamburgers.

It was the third Spacex Pacific Spawdown with people on board, but the first for a NASA team in 50 years. The company of the Technological Billionaire Elon Musk changed the capsule back from Florida to the coast of California earlier this year to reduce the risk that debris falling into populated areas. The consecutive private teams were the first to experience the Pacific’s home.

The last time that NASA astronauts returned to the Pacific from space was the duration of the 1975 Apolo-Soyuz mission, a historical meeting of American and Soviet in the duration of the orbit, the years of the cold war.
