These are the key events on 1,156 or the Russian war in Ukraine.

This is where things are on Friday, April 25:

Struggle

  • Russian missiles and drones killed 12 people in kyiv, in the biggest attack so far this year in the Ukrainian capital. The attack involved 145 drones and 70 missiles, including 11 ballistic missiles, according to Ukrainian forces.
  • The Ukrainian president, Volodyymyr Zenskyy, said that Russia is using her air attacks in the cities of Ukraine to cover the advances of the Earth’s forces, citing the leaders of the military.
  • President Zenskyy said through social networks that one of the ballistic missiles fired to kyiv was made in North Korea. The previous reports of the Reuters news agency identified him as a KN-23 Ballistic missile (KN-23A) of North Korea (KN-23A).
  • Russia’s army said his strikes were directed against the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and not attacked in civilians.
  • The Ukraine Internal Affairs Ministry says that there are seven regions are attacked by Russia, in addition to kyiv.

Policy and diplomacy

  • The president of the United States, Donald Trump, issued a rare reprimand to Russian leader Vladimir Putin after the attack against kyiv.
  • “I am not happy with the Russian attacks on kyiv. It is not necessary, and a very bad time. Vladimir, hold! 5000 soldiers per week dying. Trump wrote in Truth Social.
  • NATO general secretary, Mark Rutte, said that reaching an agreement to end the Ukraine War now depends on Moscow.
  • “I think there is something on the table now, where the Ukrainians are really playing ball. And I think the balls are clearly in the Russian court now,” Routte told journalists.
  • Ukraine said that a forensic medical investigation revealed that Russian forces tortured Viktoria Roshchyna, a 27 -year -old Ukrainian journalist, who died last September after detained months.

Economy

  • Ukrainian finance minister, Sergii Marchenko, told the Reuters news agency that Ukraine is going “as fast as we can” in a critical mineral agreement with the Trump administration, which would give the United States to Ucranes Naturs.
  • Trump had previously said that he hoped to sign the mineral agreement this week, but it still seems unlikely.

Cease-fire

  • Trump said that a high fire agreement for Ukraine is in process, and that he continued to press on Ukraine and Russia.
  • The president of the United States said the Kremlin had made the “quite great concession” that he was open to “stop the war, stop the bar throughout the country.”
  • Trump also suggested that Ukraine may not be able to recover Crimea.
  • Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the US CBS program, Face the Nation, that negotiations “moved in the right direction”, but the specific points had to be “adjusted.”
