Brazil became the first South American country to win gold at the Winter Olympics with Lucas Pinheiro Braathen securing victory in the giant slalom event in Italy. At the press conference afterward, Braathen said hearing the Brazilian national anthem was a proud moment after growing up watching his soccer team succeed.
