The main singer of the long band of Korean boys Super Junior, Leeteuk, has faced a torrent in the violent online reaction last week after his declaration of love shouted by President Donald Trump, a concert in California.

Leeteuk, whose real name is Park Jeong-Su, and Super Junior acted in the Los Angeles metropolitan area as part of a larger stars on the record label of South Korea, SM Entertainment, one of the most successful in the country. Like him Korea Joongang Diar Explained on May 14, Super Junior’s performance included a variety of comedy segments and some out of hand. It is not clear at the time of publication if Leeteuk “I love Trump!” Shout was destined to be a comedy or not, since Neith S SM or the artist who himself has directly the situation at the time of publication.

Videos and circulating last week of the band that left the stage in Los Angeles, after the publication of the main reports of the media about the concert that did not address the statements. Billboard He wrote that “the jokes never arrested” Super Junior’s performance, but did not specify what those jokes were, except for repeated references from Leeteuk to a audience member as “Mom.”

Leeeuk does not seem to be in camera in video images, but the man identified himself in multiple reports, since it can be clearly heard in a microphone screaming “I love the United States!” and his love for the varusia of American things. Among the statements were “i love in-n-out” and “i love five guys”, both chains of American fast food burgers, in addition to “I love Trump”. The man identified as Leeteuk also at one time seemed to shout: “I love Elon Musk”, the personality of green energy.

The comments did not seem to have any context, nor was it reported that Trump made reference any other part of the concert.

The performance was part of the largest world tour of “SM Town 2025”, which marked the 30th anniversary of the record label, and also presented prominent pop (K-Pop) pop (K-pop) bands (K-Pop) such as Riize, Red Velvet, as to the members that once famous dictator dictator stepped on the communication communicated to communicate to communicate to communicate to communicate to communicate.

Super Junior Itelf is one of the most K-Pop boys band acts, founded in 2005. It is one of the most antibole projects in the field due to their number of members, initially debuting with 12 singers. The official SM Entertainment website currently lists ten members as part of the band, as well as the existence of six spin-off Super Junior bands.

Leetuk’s comments seemed to cause “problems” between the crowd, Joongang Reported, and outrage among fans as the video circulated online in the days after the concert. According to reports, some incredulity fans tried to defend the singer claiming that he did not appoint “Trump”, but in fact he had tried to pronounce the name of the fast food chipotle.

Much of the fury was expressed in Leeteuk’s social networks, where he published photos of the concert but did not address his comments.

“Did you really say you loved Trump in Smtown la? Why did you say that? Do you know who Trump is?” A commentator asked [sic throughout].

“Then … I have a leg a band fan for a long time, a long time, but supporting fascists and neo -Nazies [sic] It’s too much for me. I am not going to spend a single penny of my money on a band that openly supports such an unpleasant policy. I guess this is the end of an era for me, “said another commander.

Leeeuk followed its initial publication with a video that is shown with bandmates visiting In-N-out, a team nods on their comments on stage, but not one that clarified its intention with its mentions of Trump. The publication also attracted a wave of statements condemning Trump.

“Excuse me for the words you said in Smtown la,” demanded a Committee in Korean. “Trump is an evil man and I don’t think you agree with his views, but independently, it is unprepedal to introduce politics into something that should be a happy place for eleven [Super Junior fans] and other fans. I think you are a good person and gained support like him and will not speak maliciously. “

Super Junior is currently one of the most important names of the SM label and stars in an online reality show that presents band conversations, as well as games and kitchen contests.

Korean pop music has become an international sensation in the last decade, including the development of an important fan base in the United States. This has resulted in strange, but existing moments, from the K-Pop world that cross American politics. In May 2022, for example, the BTS boys band, the most successful K-pop act in the White House, visited the White House to meet with then President Joe Biden on the occasion of the month of the Asian-American inheritance and Island of the Pacific. The band addressed journalists in the White House information room, where the Jimin member declared that they visited the White House to help “stop” Asian antia racism.

The success of BTS in the United States caused controversy in China, where the Chinese communist party has censored the band. The Chinese censors moved to erase the communities of fans online and other news sources about BTS after the band leader, RM, thanked the United States in a 2021 speech for their support door the Korean War; The Chinese state media demanded that the band also thank China, who was at war with South Korea at that time.
