ED findingsStock manipulation

The Bag Board and Exchange of India (Sebi) has begun to investigate the companies of the list linked to the case of the application of current mahade bets, which is already under scrutiny for control pain (DE), according to the sources of direct knowledge of the matter.

The regulator has found cases of violations, including the alleged manipulation of shares and the illicit routing of the bets proceeding to the capital markets through the route of foreign portfolio investors (FPI).

“We have already examined the matter and we find one or two cases,” said a person aware of the investigation. “These are innovative methods … now money is a place from abroad, which is enrupted through the FPI route.”

If a greater investigation corroborates the possible manipulation of actions and the violations of the FPI standards, Sebi will take measures against the companies and individuals involved.

An email sent to Sebi Drying on the matter did not get an answer.

ED findings

The investigation of the compliance address focuses on money laundering for betting procedures in the high seas by the promoters of the MAHADE online book through a complex network of bank accounts of Benami. The Emergency Department also discovered that the thesis was subsequently invested in the Indian Securities Market through FPI based in Dubai and Mauricio.

In their April searches, the Emergency Department discovered that the funds had been channeled in certain small and medium enterprises (SME) to cause “artificial price fluctuation” and disappoint retail investors. The agency has frozen the accounts of stocks, bonds and demat valued at more than ₹ 573 million rupees and confiscated ₹ 3.29 million rupees in cash.

Stock manipulation

The seizures revealed that the promoters of some of these companies had used the prosecuted bets to invest in their own companies “under the appearance of problems of preferential actions, the sale of actions controlled by promoters and the issuance of guarantees of shares.”

“Duration the Searches, evidence hasbet recesses “,”, “” Saids, “” Saids, “”, “” Saids, “.

The research now focuses on discovering the complete modus operandi of the manipulation of the price of shares by the companies that quote on thesis: a Sebi problem is also examining.

Until now, the ED has carried out around 170 raids in relation to the investigation of the application of mahadev bets, seizing or attaching assets by value of ₹ 3.002.47 million rupees. Thirteen people have been arrested, and 74 entities have one leg named in five prosecution complaints presented in the case.
