The chip is in early development and will undergo a series of tests before it is considered ready for customer use.

Huawei Technologies of China is preparing to test its newer and powerful artificial intelligence processor (AI), since it hopes to replace some high -end products from the American chip giant Nvidia, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Huawei has approached some Chinese technology companies to prove the technical viability of the new chip, called Ascend 910D, the United States newspaper reported Sunday, citing people’s family with the matter.

The Chinese company hopes that the last iteration of its Ascend Ai processors will be more powerful than the H100 NVIDIA, based in California, and the first batch of processor samples at the end of May must be recited, the report added. The previous versions are called 910b and 910c.

The interviewees indicate that the chip is in early development and will undergo a series of tests to evaluate their performance and prepare it for customer use.

The Reuters news agency reported that Huawei plans to start mass shipments of its advanced 910C intelligence chip to Chinese customers as soon as next month.

Huawei and their Chinese partners have fought for years to build first -end chips that could compete with NVIDIA products for training models, a process in which the data feed on algorithms to help them learn to make precise decisions.

Washington has eliminated China from the most advanced products of NVIDIA, including its B200 Bandal Chip, hoping to limit China’s technological development, progress insteadingly for its military.

The US authorities prohibited the sale of the H100 chip in 2022 before it was just a launch.

However, Huawei has succeeded, despite the leadership of the United States in the technological sector and its attempts to prevent Chinese development. The Shenzhen -based firm has developed some of the most promising alternatives of nations to the NVIDIA AI chips, a key part of Beijing’s strategy to cultivate a self -sufficient semiconductor industry.

Despite being on a black list of US trade. Uu. For almost six years, Huawei demonstrated its recovery capacity against the restarts of the United States by launching the high-end matte 60 smart phone in 2023. promoted by a processor produced nationwide, the visit of Commentce-Comment of Commentce-Common producers for Beijing.

Nvidia declined to comment, while Huawei did not immediately respond to a request for Reuters comments.
