Sydney McLaughlin-Levone, Cordell Tinch and Duitaji Kambundji are among those scheduled for the third blow

With exciting stops in Kingston, Jamaica and Miami, Florida, the Grand Slam Track League now changes to its third event, the Philadelphia Slam, scheduled to take place from June 30 to 1 in Franklin Field.

Michael Johnson Olympic gold medalist launched, the Grand Slam Track League has built rapidly impulse. The Miami Slam attracted the crowds exhausted for two or three days, since it gave 12 new Slam champions with $ 100,000 each.

The next Philadelphia event promises an emotion even since Sydney McLaughlin-Levone, who won both previous blows in the long obstacles (400m/400mh) is changing it. The head of the world record will compete in the female short obstacle group (100m/100mh). It will mark her first time in the 100 -meter race, and she has a better personal brand of 12.65 in the 100 meters of obstacles, established in May 2021.

The short obstacles of women are emerging to be one of the most prominent aspects of the Philadelphia meeting, with a clash between three Slam champions. McLaughlin-Levrone will face the Miami Slam Ackerant champion Nugent and Kingston Slam Danielle Williams champion.

Also entering the alignment is the Swiss athlete Duitaji Kambundji, who will make his debut in the Grand Slam song. Already the European champion of 60 m of Hurdles of 2025 and the World Inner Silver Medalist, Kambundji adds more depth to an already loaded field.

Meanwhile, a convincing rematch takes place in the female short sprint races, where Gabby Thomas will challenge his Miami Melissa Jefferson-Wooden rival once again. Jefferson-Wooden beat Thomas in Miami for just one point (18 to 17) to take the title of Slam. Now, Thomas will come out for a second Slam victory after previously claiming the victory in the long sprints in Kingston.

On the men’s side, the group of short obstacles will feature the current world leader Cordell Tinch of the United States. Tinch caught attention at Diamond League in Keqiao, China, on May 3, marking an extraordinary 12.87 in the 110 meters of obstacles, the fourth time faster in history, and taking victory over Rachid Muratake of Japan.

He joins him in Philadelphia is Miami Slam champion, Trey Cunningham. The 2022 world championship silver medalist showed his good form in Miami by matching his best maximum form of 13.00 in the 110m obstacles and establishing a new better of 10.17 to win both events and ensure the title of Slam.

Europe will also see two challengers in the group. Jakub Szymański of Poland, recently recently just made of his gold in the European Interior Championship of 2025, will compete, while Lorenzo Simonelli of Italy, the current European champion in 110m obstacles and the 4x100m relay, is ready to make his debut in the Grand Slam song.
