Ukraine journalist who died in Russian captivity was tortured and had her organs removed, joint media report says

Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia RoshchynaWho died in Russian captivity, was tortured and organized before his body was returned, according to a report of the joint media published on Tuesday through prohibited stories, a non -profit media organization.

Roshchyna disappeared in 2023, while in the territories occupied by Russian in southeast Ukraine investigated alleged torture prisons. He was 27 years old at that time.

The committee to protect journalists also condemned Moscow for the death of Roshchyna.

“The responsibility for death falls to the Russian authorities, who arrested her for daring to inform the truth about the Russian-Ukraine War,” said the CPJS Europe and Central Asia program in a statement. “The Ukrainian and Russian authorities must do everything in their possession to investigate the death of Roshchina.”
