Ukrainian journalist Viktoriia RoshchynaWho died in Russian captivity, was tortured and organized before his body was returned, according to a report of the joint media published on Tuesday through prohibited stories, a non -profit media organization.
In February, Russia returned Roshchyna’s emaciated body With signs of torture and some organians eliminated, possibly to hide more traces of torture, said the media report, including The Washington Post, The Guardian, Ukrainska Pravda and Idisties, citing Ucinian prosecutors.
The forensic exam “revealed numerous signs of torture and ill -treatment,” according to prosecutors.
These included “a broken rib, neck injuries and possible electric shock marks on their feet”, according to Yuriy Belosov, head of the War Crimes Unit at the Ukrainian Attorney General’s office.
Despite a high DNA party, the journalist’s father does not believe that the body is from his daughter and has requested more forensic analysis.
Roshchyna disappeared in 2023, while in the territories occupied by Russian in southeast Ukraine investigated alleged torture prisons. He was 27 years old at that time.

Who was Viktoriia Roshchyna?
Roshchyna worked as a freelancer for several independent media, including Ukrainska Pravda, and had collaborated with the Ukrainian Free Europe Europe Europe.
