“It is essential that we make sure that US taxpayers dollars do not go to encourage or reward illegal immigration to the United States,” writes Chávez-Deremer.
In particular, the Secretary of Labor said that the inemplexed benefits are for Americans, not illegal foreigners, and states that intentionally give such benefits to illegal aliens are at risk of money from federal subsidies:
The inemplacos benefits of our nations exist only for workers who are eligible to receive them. To qualify for Inemployent, one must be able and available to work, activate the work of bulk and be legal authorized to accept employment in the United States. Unmployed benefits are not a brochure for those in our country illegally. [Emphasis added]

This letter also reminds the states of their existing legal obligations regarding immigrants to the unemployment benefits and that Failure to comply with the existing obligations will result in the loss of the administrative subsidy of onion of Title III of the State. [Emphasis added]
An investigation published in 2022 by the Institute of the Immigration Reform Law (IRLI) found that the Sanctuary states such as New York and Colorado used the Chinese Coronavirus pandemic to open unemployment benefits to illegal foreigners, paid by Americans.
A preliminary report from the Government Efficiency Department (Doge) issued this month that several dozen liberated migrants to the United States for the probation portfolio of former President Joe Biden had been taking unemployment benefits despite being on the FBI terrorist surveillance list or having a criminal record.
The Sanctuary of California has routinely tried legislation that would provide unemployed illegal foreigners the right to employment benefits.
