The fears of a broader military escalation persist after a deadly attack against Pahalgam’s tourist city in Cashmiro administered by India.

India and Pakistan have exchanged shots for the fourth consecutive night following a deadly attack against tourists in Kashmir administered by India last week.

The Indian army said he responded to the “non -provoked small fire” of multiple positions of the Pakistan army around midnight on Sunday along the de facto border of 740 km (460 miles) that separates the Indian and Pakistani areas from the dispulses from both. Both. Both. Persistent cross -border skames have increased the fear of a broader military escalation between rival nuclear powers.

The Pakistani army has not yet commented on the last exchange of fire. No victims have been reported.

The skirmishes occur after armed men killed 26 people near Pahalgam’s tourist city in Muslim majority last Tuesday. It was the deadliest attack against civilians in Kashmir administered by India for a quarter of a century.

Security officials and survivors said that armed men segregated the men who last the attack, asking for their names and attacking the Hindus before shooting them at a short distance.

The attack caused outrage and complaint in India, with New Delhi accusing Pakistan of financing and encouraging “cross -border terrorism” in Kashmir. Islamabad has denied any role and asked for a neutral probe.

After the attack, India launched an extensive security operation and identified two of the three suspects as Pakistani.

The security forces arrested approximately 500 people to interrogate and registered almost 1,000 houses and forests, looking for the attackers, according to a local police officer cited by the Reuters news agency.

Since then, the two nations have unleashed a series of measures from each other.

India has the Critical Water Treaty of the Indo in suspense and sealed its terrestrial border with Pakistan. Islamabad has closed its airspace to Indian airlines.

India’s defense forces have carried out several military exercises throughout the country since the attack. Some of these are routine preparation exercises, said a defense official.

The resistance of Kashmira, also known as the Resistance Front, said in a publication on social networks on Sunday that “unequivocally” denies participation in the attack.

The group declared that a previous message that was promoted to responsibility was the result of a cyber attack, suggested that it was an Indian intelligence work.
