With the Lakers following 2-1 in their series against the Timberwolves of Minnesota, and facing a 3-1 deficit (probable unsurpassed) 3-1 in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Chief coach JJ Redick made a decision: he sank to swim.
That is really the only justification for why Redick played the headlines LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura every final 24 minutes of game time, while also issued a Jaxson Hayes nominal title center for Dorian-Mm.
If that seemed a bold decision, and possible unprecedented, for anyone who sees the game, it turns out that it is because it was everything.
