President Donald Trump called on House Republicans to “vote to release” files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, explaining that it is time for the nation to “put this Democratic hoax behind us.”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he cares more than Republicans about “GETTING BACK TO THE POINT” and focusing on what his administration has accomplished, such as securing the southern border, deporting criminal illegal aliens, and protecting women’s sports from biological males who identify as transgender.
“As I said Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake Media, House Republicans should vote to release Epstein’s files, because we have nothing to hide, and it is time to move on from this Democratic hoax perpetrated by radical left lunatics to divert us from the GOP’s great success, including our recent victory in the Democratic ‘shutdown,'” Trump said in his post.
Trump went on to note that the Department of Justice (DOJ) “had already released tens of thousands of pages about ‘Epstein’ to the public” and added that they are “watching” Democrats like former President Bill Clinton and Democratic megadonor Reid Hoffman and “their relationship with Epstein.”
Breitbart News’ Nick Gilbertson reported that Trump had stated that he would ask Attorney General Pam Bondi “to investigate ties” between Epstein, Clinton, Hoffman and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
“All I care about is that we Republicans get back to the point, which is the economy, ‘affordability’ (where we are winning BIG!), our victory in reducing inflation from the highest level in history to virtually nothing, lowering prices for the American people, achieving historic tax cuts, gaining trillions of dollars of investment in America (A RECORD!), rebuilding our Armed Forces, securing our border, deporting illegal criminal aliens, ending men in women’s sports, Stop transgender people for everyone and much more!
Trump’s post continued in part:
No one cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive, and if the Democrats had anything, they would have made it public before our landslide election victory. Some “members” of the Republican Party are being “used” and we cannot allow that to happen. Let’s start talking about the record-breaking achievements of the Republican Party and not fall into Epstein’s “TRAP,” which is actually a curse for Democrats, not us. LET’S MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Trump’s post comes as a “discharge request for the House to vote to compel” the Justice Department to release additional files related to Epstein. It has reportedly “received its final signature” and received support from House Democrats and Republicans, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), according to the New York Post.
