President Donald Trump is expected to firm an executive order on Monday that guarantees that truckers are experts in English speaking, the official language of the United States, Breitbart News can reveal.
A White House document on the expected executive order, reviewed by Breitbart News, aims to ensure that those who operate a commercial vehicle in the United States are qualified and competent English speakers.
“President Trump believes that English is a non -negotiable security requirement for professional drivers, since they should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officers, the border patrol, the agricultural control points and the personnel of the loading limitation station, and provide and receive comments and addresses in English,” says the document.
According to the anticipated order, the Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy will be directed to “terminate and replace the orientation to strengthen inspection procedures for compliance with the English domain requirements”, according to the White House document.
For years, an existing federal standard that commercial drivers read and speak English “has not forced their legs,” according to the document.
The expected order, “demands to review the criteria out of service to ensure that the drivers that violate the rules of English domain are out of service, improving the safety of the roads.”
Duffy will also have the task of evaluating the protocols for the verification of authenticity of commercial driving licensing (CDL).
Moreover, Duffy is aimed at improving the working conditions of truck drivers through “additional administrative, regulatory or application actions,” according to the early executive order.
Trump in particular the executive action in March to establish English as the official language of the United States. The order is read in part:
To promote unity, cultivate a shared American culture for all citizens, guarantee consistency in government operations and create a path to civic commitment, it is the best for the Federal Government of the United States to designate an official length and a single official duration. Establishing English as an official language will not only rationalize communication but also strengthen shared national values and create a more cohesive and efficient society.
The president is scheduled to sign executive orders at the Oval office at 5:00 pm ET on Monday.
