I didn’t want another credit card, but I couldn’t pass up this card’s fantastic bonus offer

How to Use my 100,000 points bonusBeyond the welcome bonus for limited timeEnd

Not necessarily fits the mold of the typical points and enthusiastic miles. I only have a handful of credit cards, I do not worry too much about squeezing every ounce of value of my refunds (if I can get a hotel or flight no cost of pocket, I consider that a victory) and I do not request new cards.

In fact, I was happy enough with the cards in my wallet that had no plans to add any new to my alignment.

That was until I heard about the current sacrifice on the Chase Sapphire PreferRed® card (see rates and rates).

This card is not only one of the best qualified TPG cards for trips and meals, but also offers an exceptional welcome bonus or 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards after spending $ 5,000 on purchases in the first three months from the opening of the account. This sacrifice ends on May 15 at 9 am edt.

For a card with an annual rate of $ 95, that number certainly stopped me. According to TPG assessments in May 2025, this sacrifice is worth $ 2,050.

How to Use my 100,000 points bonus

I just received the card, so I’m still working to pray the bonus, but I feel that I have passed the points before they approach my account.

I have three children with several holiday ideas and a next summer of school. Money is not object for them, but it is certainly for me. Fortunately, this card can help me fulfill some of your summer vacation dreams.

I’ve been dreaming about the subject. I have spent hours sailing through the traile tract Chase to see where they can take those 100,000 final rewards points.

Big Cypress Lodge. Taylor Jenkins/The Points Guy

My 11 -year -old boy obsessed with fishing has begun to see Big Cypress Lodge in Memphis (also known as the Bass Pro Shops Hotel in the form of a pyramid).

Although there are certainly more hotel options in Memphis, Big Cypress Lodge can be reserved on the Chase Travel portal, so he probably ends up launching some of my points in that way to satisfy his need to sleep in a room with a view to the Bass Pro Shops sales store in the world.

The reservation through the portal will give me 1.25 cents per point in value, and I can also take advantage of my hotel status credit of $ 50 whenever they pay part of the stay with cash.

Hyatt

My 8 -year -old son really occurs to skyscrapers, so we have done it in the leg to Chicago this year to visit the paratrooper Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower). I have had an eye at the historic Chicago Athletic Association hotel for years, and is less than one mile of the Willis tower.

The hotel can be reserved through World of Hyatt Points (from only 17,000 Hyatt points per night), and I have learned from my coworkers to transfer definitive rewards points to one of the Chase or Airco Partners matches provides great value.

Hyatt

My three children have also dinner to stay at the Hyatt Regncy Orlando International Airport in one of the rooms with a view to the bustling terminal. I have to admit that novelty has always intrigued me a bit too.

The rooms here begin at 12,000 Hyatt points per night. We visit Disney World and Universal Orlando often, so it will be fun to surprise them with a night after a late flight or before one early at the end of this year.

Beyond the welcome bonus for limited time

In addition to the current welcome bonus, the Chase Sapphire Prefereted Wins:

  • 5 points per dollar spent on Chase travel purchases (excluding the hotel credit of $ 50)
  • 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft purchases (until September 2027)
  • 3 points per dollar spent on restaurants, selected transmission services and purchases of online groceries (excludes Target, Walmart and wholesale clubs) wholesale)
  • 2 points per dollar spent on other travel purchases
  • 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases
McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale, Arizona. Tarah Chieffi/The Points Guy

That means that I can use daily expense to keep the ear points towards the other trips that my family has dreaming or, just after exhausting the welcome bonus points with their summer dream trips.

After this year, the benefits of this card easily compensate for the annual rate of $ 95.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred earns an annual declaration loan of $ 50 for hotels reserves made through Chase Travel, which essentially covers more than half of the annual card rate.

When that combines with the high card profit potential on trips and restaurants, and advantages such as travel insurance and purchase protection, the large card value is easy to make.

End

The bonus sacrifice of 100,000 points ends on May 15, and this could be your last chance to take advantage of this valuable bonus. The typical bonus on this card is 60,000 points, and it is one leg four years, since we have seen it climb to 100,000 points.

Such good treatment cannot last forever, but the memories he makes on the trips that he could reserve with the current bonus sacrifice at the preferred Sapphire Chase will last in the coming years.
