Editor’s note: The founder of TPG, Brian Kelly, is an advisor and investor of Bilt.

There are many foreign operators with loyalty programs that sacrifice great value. Japan Airlines Mileage Bank is one of those programs, but it is or is overlooked because it is not a transfer partner of American Express, Capital One Miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards or Citi Tankyou Rewards.

However, with Bilt Rewards recently adding a Mile Bank as its new Transfer Party 1: 1, it is now much easier to win miles to exchange in Japan Airlines and its partner airlines.

Here is why you should pay attention to the mileage bank.

How to win miles of mileage of mileage from Japan Airlines

There are many ways to win miles from Japan Airlines, both through flying and expenses.

Japan Airlines is a member of Oneworld Alliance, which includes members such as American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Qantas and British Airways. The airline is also associated with other non -Alliance airlines, including Air France, Emirates, Korean Air and Hawaiian Airlines.

You can win miles proving your income from Japan Airlines, Oneworld and other flights associated with your mile bank account. See the partner’s profit site and look at your airline and rate class to see how many miles you will win. For example, most economic rates in American Airlines earn between 30% and 50% of flown miles.

If it flies with a cheap rate and has no status with American, accreditation to Japan Airlines (even the reduced ear rate) could make sense.

It can also transfer Marriott points to the Miles Bank in a 3: 1. (also obtain 5,000 points of additional miles for every 60,000 that transfers). Observing Marriott points is quite easy: the following credit cards gain bonus points in Marriott’s purchases, and many of them have free advantages such as

The information for the Marriott Bonvoy Bountify card has been independently collected by the type of points. The details of the card on this page have not reviewed the legs or provide for the card issuer.

Mileageage Bank uses multiple different awards cadres, depending on whether your trip is only in Japan Airlines, in a single Oneworld airline or other Oneworld airline.

Japan Airlines operates to Tokyo from the following American doors:

  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)

Keep in mind that for reserves made from June 10, 2025, Millajo Banks Awards Fly Japan Airlines to Japan will increase as follows:

  • 27,000 miles in economics
  • 40,000 miles in Economics Premium
  • 55,000 miles in executive class
  • 110,000/125,000/140,000 miles in the first class (watershed at low, regular or high season dates)

There are no changes in the rates of redemption of partners on this date.

Milleageage Bank does not allow first -class awards in Air France, Emirates, Korean Air or Malaysia Airlines.

It is worth noting that the Mileage Bank has one of the most generous stop policies of any airline loyalty program. They are allowed to an incredible seven scales in multiple redemptes of Oneworld airlines, and three stops in a single redemption of the Oneworld airline or other partner.

Most of the mileage bank redemptations can be reserved online.

If you are willing to sit and study the different promotions, rule of routing and awards graphics for the Bank mileage program, it can go quite far away by very few miles. There are several areas in the awards table based on the distance for partners who are mature to create itineraries that maximize the generous awards cadres and stop rules.

Now that you can transfer Bilt points to the Bank of Miles, this program is making conservation conservation, especially if you expect to travel to Japan or beyond.
