Forget the Liquid Glass Design, I’m Here for All of iOS 26’s Humdrum Features

Apple Previous iOS 26, the next version of the iPhone software, on WWDC 2025. And no, you are not reading that badly. It has a new name, look and much more. The iOS 26 update comes with many characteristics and improvements that I have wanted for some time, including call detection.

Last year, we obtained Apple’s intelligence, and the previous year, the company presented the Vision Pro. This year, Apple changed the name of its software and made it seem more unified. It may not seem as big as previous WWDC, but if I expected Apple to talk more about software and less about AI, then this was its year. Instead of obtaining iOS 19, Apple launched iOS 26. In general, a new version of iOS comes out in the fall, but can receive smaller updates during spring and the following summer. Then, iOS 26 is a reference to the fact that it will obtain minor updates until 2026.

The greatest update was the change of name of iOS. It was liquid glass, a design review that adds transparency and aims to reduce distraction. However, the instantaneous reaction of some people was less than favorable for the new aspect. I am fascinated by what I saw with the liquid glass and I hope to try it as part of the beta version of iOS 26. But Liquid Glass did not publish as as some of the other features that Apple included in iOS 26, such as the redesign of the application of the camera.

This year’s WWDC issue is consistency: consistency in terms of the general experience that an owner of the Apple device has. IOS 26 is a great example of this, it brings a sophisticated and contemporary sensation to the iPhone software.

Watch my video iOS 26, in which I keep you in all the great characteristics of the new iOS and I show you a couple of narrower (some can find them mundane) that excite me.

iOS 26 This fall will be launched and is now available as a beta developer. The public beta version cannot be used in July. You need an iPhone 11 or Dut to use iOS 26. If you want to turn it before its launch, I recommend waiting for the public beta version and just execute it on your main iPhone.
