Why did Sheteur Sanders fall out of the first?Pittsburgh to move George Pickens? When will Johnson leave the board?Do some position races come?

The first round of the NFL 2025 is in the books.

But with six round rounds, and more than 200 selections to go, we are far from writing the full story. In a matter of a few hours, the Cleveland Browns will return to time to open the second night of the draft, and since rumors are still revolving around Lambeau Field.

Before the browns are on the clock, let’s immerse ourselves.

Why did Sheteur Sanders fall out of the first?

Without a doubt, this is the dominant story after Thursday.

In the months prior to the speculation of the NFL 2025 draft it followed Sheteur Sanders everywhere, from the Shrine Bowl to the NFL scouting combine and then to the Colorado Showcase event. Would it be one of the first players’ tasks? Would he be the first QB tasks? Where would the board come out on Thursday night?

However, that conversation changed slowly, and in the hours before Round 1 a new question arose: would the board leave Thursday night?

Finally, hey, no. Now, everyone is looking for an answer.

Two factors can be at work here. One, his evaluation was not clean, since there are groups about his style of play. He was fired about 90 times in the last two years in Colorado, and although part of this was due to an offensive line that fought to protect him, there was also when Sanders invited the pressure in his pocket and worsened the situation.

If that does not work on Saturday, it will certainly not work on Sundays.

Then there is the relative work of the necessary QB equipment in this Draft cycle. Yes, teams like Cleveland, Pittsburgh and New Orleans could still address quartback, and the giants could have gone in a different direction instead of returning to the first by Jaxson Dart, but those who tonight, or address the NFL 2026 draft and traveled with veterans options.

The privileged information of NFL Network Tom Pelissero went to the “slide” in Good morning football Friday morning.

“I think that where we sometimes fell short, like the media, it is allowing certain things to move forward to what people inside the NFL really see,” said Pelissero. “If you talk to NFL explorers and coaches, there was a guy in this draft who was a safe -starting marshal, in terms of profile, and that was Cam Ward. The rest of them – Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, who receives after trade – Thyhy Thyhy is after tea – Thyhyhyhythethe Tyhihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihihyhyhyhyhyhyhyhes – somewhere in that first type of edge of the second edge of the second edge of the second round.

“For the giants, they like the athletic ability of Jaxson Dart, they like their size, they like the fact that they can execute football with him, execute RPO and read options, which really is Toeur. You, Sandeur, Yous Sandeur, you Shedeur, you Shedeur, you, what is at least, you, what you are at, what comes to your game, what comes to your game, what comes to your game, what comes to your game, what comes to your game, what comes to your game, what comes to your game, what comes to your game. Less, at least, what is to the one that goes to your game.

That slide probably ends tonight, if it was a slide.

Pittsburgh to move George Pickens?

According to Dianna Russini or The AtléticoThe Pittsburgh Steelers are receiving calls about the availability of the open receiver George Pickens, and are “open” to the conversations:

Steelers have been receiving calls on the availability of WR George Pickens, by Fuentes.

Why could this import? Well, if you are trying to find a landing place for Sanders, Pittsburgh is still an option. But without a second round selection, the steelers are not on the clock again until number 83, the 19th selection in the third round. Acquire a second round selection through a pickens trade, or sufficient capital to balance a subsequent exchange for a second round selection could be what steelers are driving.

When will Johnson leave the board?

While Sanders left the headlines dominated by the first round, he was not the only player who expected to get out of the board on Thursday who hopes to hear the name called Friday. The corner of Michigan Will Johnson also left the first round, despite being one of the best Draft players according to the consensus ranking.

According to Adam Schefter, Johnson has a knee problem that has cautious equipment about his longevity in the league

Despite these concerns, Johnson is one of the best players available, and with several teams that seek to go to the corner here on day two, his slide should end shortly after the second round begins.

Do some position races come?

The second night of the NFL draft could see several “position races” given the talent that remains on the board.

Let’s start with the open receiver. Only three expectations left the board at Thorsday Night, Tetairo McMillan de Arizona, Egbuka Paca from Ohio and Matthew Golden from Texas, but several talented players are still on the board. Look for players like Luther Burden III, Iowa’s couple of Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, Mississippi Wr Tre Harris and Jack Bech from TCU to get out of the board tonight, maybe everything in the second round.

The runners could also play an important role tonight. Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton were recruited on Thursday, but the duo of the state of Ohio by Treveyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins are still on the Board, just like Kaleb Johnson de Iowa.

Dylan Sampson and Cam Skattebo are also tonight for equipment looking for runner.

On the defensive side of the ball, Johnson is one of several corners who could leave the board. Look for Trey Amos, Shavon Revel Jr., Benjamin Morrison, Azareeye’h Thomas, Darien Porter and Jacob Parrish to listen to their names called tonight.

Then there are the passes runners. Mike Green and Donovan Ezeiraku were two edge defenders considered first round selections, but both are still available as night begins. Nic Scourton, JT Tuimolou, Landon Jackson, Oluwafemi Oladejo, Princely Uuermanmielen, Jordan Burch and Jack Sawyer lead a large number of passes runners who are probably chosen tonight.
