Nobody was happier about the Lakers being eliminated than Mark Williams

The Lakers season is over. Los Angeles was eliminated on Wednesday night in a defeat of series 4-1 against the Timberwolves in a game where Rudy Gobert absolutely went with 27 points and 24 rebounds in the 103-96 victory.

If only the Lakers had someone in the middle. Someone who could have helped them at both ends of the floor. If they only had some like … Mark Williams. Instead of helping LeBron James and Luka Doncic to reach the final, Williams was at home, enjoying the defeat of Los Angeles.

Are they bitter grapes? Absolutely, but Williams has more than enough reasons to hate the Lakers organization. It was changed on the NBA trade deadline in an agreement that would have sent Dalton Servant and a first round selection to Charlotte. On the other hand, the exchange was canceled by Los Angeles, who prosecuted to paint the center a responsibility for injuries, not only took his opportunity to play for a contender, but, which is more important, impacted his potential for future profits.

It was a very uncomfortable situation with the Hornets that Sweering Williams was fine, just going far to bring the animated trade to arbitration in an effort to force him, but it was in vain. Charlotte welcomed his old lottery team, softened things and, by the season’s reminder, Williams absolutely went to Charlotte, registering 13 double doubles from the deadline.

Anyone who understands Ball knew this would come. The Lakers needed a great need for a center for their playoffs, and Williams would have Bone a great missing piece. Instead, they are on vacation early once again.

As for Williams: there was a report suggestion that the Lakers could try to reevaluate the agreement and complete it in the low season. Now? Well, that could be a bit more complicated given how much heyye see them fail.
