Syrian forces led by Kurda de Syria described the attack as ‘one of the most mortal’ against him in a long time.

The Isil Group (ISIS) has killed five Kurdish combatants in an attack on the Az Zor of East Syria, reported the group’s news agency, underlining Conerns about their resurgence.

Farhad Shami, spokesman for the Syratic Forces led by Kurdas de Syria (SDF), on Monday confirmed to the Reuters news agency that five of its members were killed in the attack, which is grouped as “one of the mortals” again.

Deir Az Zor City was captured by ISIL in 2014, but the Syrian army resumed him in 2017.

The Isil group once controlled fixed stripes of Syria and Iraq, including Raqqa, about 160 km (100 miles) east of Aleppo and Mosul, in northern Iraq, imposing a hard line government on millions of people.

The former EIIL leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, had declared a caliphate about the country in 2014 before he was killed in a raid by the special forces of the United States in the northwest of Syria in 2019 when the group collapsed.

At its peak, the group ruled approximately one area half the size of the United Kingdom and was known for its brutity. He gave the civilians, killed 1,700 Iraqi soldiers captured in a short period, and enslaved and violated thousands of women from the Yazidi community, one of the oldest religious minorities in Iraq.

A coalition of more than 80 countries was formed, led by the United States, to fight the group in September 2014. The alliance continues to make raids against the hiding places of Isil in Syria and Iraq.

The war against the group official ended in March 2019, when the combatants backed by the United States and led by Kurds of the SDF captured the city of Baghouz of Syria oriental, which was the last splinter of controlled land.

The group was also defeated in Iraq in July 2017, when Iraqi forces recovered Mosul. Three months later, Isil suffered a great blow when the SDF Tok, the Syrian city of northern Raqqa, which was the group’s de facto capital.

Isil has recently tried to organize a return, continuing to recruit members and demand the responsibility of mortal attacks worldwide.
