Police in Brazil said on Sunday that two people have arrested on their legs in relation to an alleged plot to donate a bomb in a free Lady Gaga concert in Rio de Janeiro.
Saturday’s event attracted about 2 million fans to Copacabana Beach.
The State Police of Rio de Janeiro said he had worked with the Ministry of Justice to interrupt an attack allegedly planned by a group that was disseminating the hate speech against the LGBTQ community. Police said the group sought to radicalize and recruit adolescents to carry out attacks with Molotov cocktails and improvised explosives.
“The plan was treated as a ‘collective challenge’ with the aim of gaining notoriety in social networks,” police said.
The authorities said they arrested two people in relation to the planned attack: the alleged leader of the group for positions of possession of illegal weapons in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, and a teenager for child pornography positions.
The concert was the biggest show of Gaga’s career.
“Tonight, we are making history,” Lady Gage told a crowd screaming. “Thank you for making history with me.”
The mother monster, as it is known, started the program just after 10 pm local time with the 2011 song “Bloody Mary”. The screams of joy rose from tight fans who sang and danced shoulder shoulder in rapid sand stretching.
The organizers of the concert said that 2.1 million people attended the show, which was funded by the city of Rio in an effort to revitalize the economy. In a recent report, the City Council of Rio said that it should bring at least 600 million reais, or approximately $ 106 million.

Lady Gaga arrived in Rio in the early hours of Tuesday. The city has been alive with Gaga-Mania since then, since it prepared to welcome the pop star for its first show in the country since 2012.
