Melstarr Aviations Tech, a subsidiary of absolute property of Melstarr Information Technologies, has ventured in the aviation training sector with plans to establish a modern flight training organization in Karnataka.

The company has committed an initial investment of ₹ 300 million rupees, marking one of the largest private sector initiatives in the Indian pilot training industry.

Tarun Kashyap, Matpl Operations Director, said the company has committed ₹ 100 million rupees in the first phase and investment in the next three years. He added that it is one of the most substantial investments of a private company in Indian Aviation training.

The next FTO in Karnataka will focus on developing highly qualified aviation professionals by offering training in the last aircraft, immersive flight simulators and a global reference curriculum. The installation is expected to generate 60-100 direct employment opportunities and gradually start operations from 2025.

The company signed a formal memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Karnataka government in February, reinforcing a shared vision to improve the Ecosystec rod for Aviation Training of India and reduce the dependence of training institutions abroad.

The MATPL FTOs are designed to serve the applicants for individual pilots, airlines, corporate entities and government agencies. Training programs will include commercial pilot licenses courses, recurrent training and certification routes aligned with DGCA and international standards.

Melstarr Aviations Tech aims to position India as a global center for aviation education through strategic investments, technological integration and associations that promote innovation and operational excellence in flight training.
